Our community is united in a concerted effort to ensure the safety and security of our streets, creating a welcoming environment for all who reside here and for those who pass through our vibrant neighborhood. We are dedicated to preserving the quality of life for everyone—residents, children, the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and cyclists alike. Together, we strive to foster a sense of belonging, promote healthy interactions, and support an inclusive atmosphere that enhances the well-being of every member of our community.

The Goal of Friends of Pine and Spruce
We will vigorously challenge the No Stopping ordinance, oppose the OTIS plan for physical barriers (concrete or otherwise), and promote an affirmative plan for safe streets based on speed-calming measures. We advocate for responsible and equitable use of public funds, prioritizing the 12% of city streets in the High Injury Network, where 80% of traffic deaths and injuries occur. Our goal is to make Philadelphia streets safer for everyone.
